Volunteer Enrichment Program

Written by Admin. Posted in Volunteer

Introducing the All-new Volunteer Engagement Program (VEP)!

One of the most distinctive features of the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation is its volunteers.

Volunteers play an essential role in helping us fulfill our mission and serve the community.  We believe volunteers bring optimism and enthusiasm, diverse skills, expertise and share diverse perspectives that lead to an enhanced choreographed engagement for the Foundation and the community.

Our Volunteer Engagement Program (VEP) is multifaceted.
The community and the Foundation itself, has been, and continues to be, built on the gifts, abilities and interests of our many volunteers who align themselves with the overriding mission and vision of the Foundation.

Volunteers are dedicated people who take time out of their day - many while balancing work and family commitments - to serve as board members, administrators, event facilitators, project managers, land stewards, building and construction support.

We welcome the skills, interests and expertise of all willing to perform a multitude of functions, and are always open to finding a place for anyone at any level to participate in the VEP.

Our Volunteer Engagement Program (VEP) is Reciprocal.
Not only do our volunteers serve for a multitude of reasons and in a variety of ways, they also need to know that their contribution is making a difference. The VEP seeks to provide an environment where volunteers will be:

rewarded and recognized for their time, energy and efforts
valued for their unique abilities and are able to contribute in meaningful ways
trained, mentored and supported in their work
empowered to advocate for our vision and mission.

Volunteer Your Way

Are you interested in...

Serving on the Board
It’s a good idea to talk to existing Board members about the roles and responsibilities of serving on the Board. While it’s not the most sought after position, it can be very rewarding.

Working on the Land
Being out in nature has its advantages. The Land offers plenty of woodlands, a protected stream, a rustic, natural environment to enjoy while putting your hands to work. If you love the outdoors and enjoy a good sweat, you’ll love serving on the Land.

Residential Service-Exchange
Growing in the Dagara tradition while offering your services will be an experience to remember. A chance to meet new friends or hang by the fire with old ones; to tune into the vibrations of village life, whether for a weekend or a season - all while helping to build and sustain a community.
